Update: SPEC 3+ Clutch Install with LOW PEDAL PRESSURE impressions
Ok so I finally got my new clutch installed. I decided on getting a SPEC 3+ with low pedal pressure option an extra $40 most dealers dont know about this so you will have to specifflcy ask them.
I was very concerned with the pedal pressure I did not want a clutch that wore out my leg every time I drove it. And I wanted my wife to be able to drive the car as well and not complain about it. I get enough of that as it is. (just joking honey if you read this). Well rest assured if this is what your looking for you have found it. The clutch pedal pressure feels almost identical to the stock clutch. My wife didnt even notice a diffrence. The only diffrence there is and it's a big one is the SPEC clutchs are on / off type it's like a switch. You cant really slide this clutch like you can with the stock clutch. It does take some time to get used to it, as I've already stalled about five times. Now I'm just breaking it in for the first 500 miles.
I have compared the SPEC 3, SPEC 3+, CenterForce and the SPEC 3+ with low pedal option. The SPEC 3+ with LPP is by FAR the lightest feeling on the foot. I havent tried the GT500 clutch as I hear this is the best replacement but for 2K I'm happier spending money elsewhere.
It pretty much feels like stock maybe 1-2% diffrence. cudos to SPEC for listening to thier customers. Now if they could just make a clutch with 900ftq that will let you slide it that would be perfect for street/strip.
There is a little shudder but this is normal during the break in period. It should go away if properly broken in. It is slightly noticable.
Two thumbs up for the Low Pedal Pressure Option!!
