FYI to all '05 fans - A couple of TV programs of note coming up this week:

Tuesday night 9/28/04 on Discovery Channel 8pm EST
'Extreme Mustang: Back to the Track'. Supposed to be about a 2005 Mustang being converted into a race car.

Saturday morning 10/02/04 on public televison (or I believe it may also be on Speed Channel on Sunday morning Oct. 3rd)
Motorweek tests the 2005 Mustang

Just thought everyone would like to make a note to watch these shows, should be interesting - Especially the performance numbers (0-60, quarter mile, etc) that Motorweek comes up with.

Speed's website says it will be showing at 9:30 p.m. on October 4, and the encore will be 4 hours later at 1:30 a.m. on October 5.

I know something will make me forget to watch this thing... It ALWAYS happens! :angry:

I just got done watching Motorweek here in Iceland and they said next weeks show (10/3) will have the test of the new 05 Mustang. It's on the Armed Forces Network here but the show is provided by PBS.

 

Motorweek, Sunday Morning on (PBS) WTVS (Detroit) at 10:00 AM

 

Finally being in Iceland pays off. I'm 4 hours ahead of the east coast and it comes on at 6am and 9am here. The preview had them driving a (hope I get this right) windveil blue GT.

 

This is good news....I believe with motorweek having the review and the kickoff on Monday, we should start seeing them arrive in the dealers on Monday to go along with the 2 events. I know I will be at my dealership on monday (especially when it's their late night.) Thanks again for the heads up as I have been waiting to see this on motorweek anyway. B) B)

What time was it on there? I'm in Greenland and would think that we may be seeing some of the same shows on the PBS channel via AFN. I ordered mine through the Iceland ENCS shop back in July.

 

The one I saw was on at 0900 Iceland time. It also comes on at 0600 but I'm not usually up that early.

 

Don't forget, the mags are about to come out any day now!!!

I wonder when the accessory items will be in the magazines for sale. You know some got the cars in advance and have items already made. Do you think they will be in the magazines the same month as the articles on the car?

I am recording MotorWeek, but it is on Replay TV which is a harddrive. I don't know how to get it onto my comp.

 

i don't think Motor Trend showed up until the first full week of september, so i don't think we'll see the November issue till four weeks after that, so i think we've got one more week to wait.
I guess since the magazines probably work on a weekly basis, and since the month is a bit longer than 4 weeks, they gradually get ahead of the month every month, and so once or twice a year they probably take a week off or something like that, so that we don't start getting the january issue in october.

Lets start placing bets on the 0-60 times! I call 5.4 seconds!
