I's like to see a column added for "transmission"

Manual or Auto...

I will personally add the ~1100 entries. If need be, I can start a thread and the member only needs to write "Auto" or "Manual". It wouldn't take that much time for me to enter it in this format.

What takes more time in the statistical sense, is writing the formulas and adding them in my latest chart, but that isn't a problem either.

If there is a thread started, I can put the formulas in the spreadsheet so it will be updating continuously as the members are supplying the info.

I thought the transmission type was a very talked about subject prior to the delivery of the Mustang.......

Input?

EDITED: It may be helpful to have a seperate sheet for members to post when the actually commit (purchase) a '06 Mustang. They can supply the specifics of their purchase and can be officially added to the main sheet when delivery is taken on the '06..

Others have previously asked about a manual/auto column and IUP and interior color etc. It was too daunting a task so I just left it as is (I get a lot of my data from pix members post). Not too many pix id auto vs manual or interior color.

If you want, you can add that to the unofficial thread. Instead of 8 line entries, request members also report transmission and any other entries you want.

I was looking at the "Members' Rides: 2005+, Post Photos of Your S197 Mustang" section (up to page 10), and without either the interior shot or in the sig there is no way of actually knowing. But there were a few sig/pics that answered the question.

It would be less daunting to ask the questions in a format like in the "The unofficial 2005+ mustang registry".

Steve, sent you a pm, but it may be easier to discuss here. MY05GT wanted to know if he could help out too.

To make it easier on both of you, I would suggest the following. Have MY05GT be the data entry guy. Recommend not solely relying on entries in the unofficial registry thread as 80% of my entries come from other places. Primarily from promising 2005 forum threads (got my new stang, show the nanners, legend lime registry, etc.) and the "post pictures of your S197 rides".

If this is ok with both of you then we can press forward. If not then I'm all ears. This is just a suggestion. It might be a bad one. Might be too hard to synch up/ coordinate.

Thoughts?

I am ready to do whatever it takes. I have started learning how to track the topics.
For the people that are actively seeking to input, it might be easier to lock the thread and have them PM the info to the collector. Just an idea.
Better yet, un-sticky the old thread and start a new one and sticky that. The new thread could be locked and say to PM the info. This thread could also have the download info. Discussion and comment could take place in the discussion thread already set up, again, just an idea, since some of these types of threads will get extremely long.
Do we separate 05 and 06 into different databases or keep a column for year?

If you decide to make a new sticky thread and put the updated file in it, I would recomend put each update in a new post instead of editing the original. It worked better before to edit the original post, but if that's all that's going in the new thread, it's the only way others will be able to tell there's a new post (by the indicator beside the title of the thread) AND a new update.
But of course, that's only if you decide to use a new sticky thread.

Mark, did you notice the 2 build dates that were updated. I kind-of hoped their dates were right. Those would have been some pretty cool stories.

Yes I updated them (the dates).

So does this mean I'm relieved of duties? Just in case the answer is yes. Here is my latest spreadsheet. 1076 entries.

FYI: Whoever the poster of the spreadsheet is, will need the admin to raise their attachment limit. Just pm Scothew.

What does # mean? Just the total number of 05 vs 06's, or all of the same stats?

If the same stats, I probably will keep them on seperate sheets as a temporary solution.. I kind of would liek to see the difference in GT vs V6 between the 1st 2 years. To see if there is a drop off in GT's, % wise

Jason,

I'd like to keep the current registry in the Sticky. Are there any stats that you would like for me to formulate into the spreadsheet? My #53 post is already formulated into the Sticky.

Note: for individuals without MS Excel and want to view the file, you can do one of the following:

1)Install Office (of course)
2) Install the Excel Viewer http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=EN
(approx 10+MB)

Well 68ShelbyGT500KR and MY05GT, the floor's yours. As I said in the other thread, I will still pass to you new owners I come across.

I posted the latest spreadsheet on the first page of the sticky. Thanks to 68ShlebyGT500KR, it now has some formulas that automatically updates the stats sheet.

Steve. I don't have anything in mind right now.
I mainly use the registry to see who has a car exactly like mine and to see who was built on the same day I was.
Oh, I do like the % breakdowns because it reminds me how few white '05's are out there.

Just as a Note:
It is best to turn the following Option from "Automatic" to "Manual" and place a check in the box that says "Recalculate before save" in Excel>Tools>Options>"Calculation" tab...Click OK when Done

If you don't, then when you do a filter or anything that involves a formula, Excel will recalc the file. This can take 10-20 seconds each time you access a formula based cell. Just a thought...

Also, for better viewing (in Full Screen Mode) Go to View>Full Screen. To return to "normal" again reverse (View>Full Screen)

Mark, Are rows 909 and 910 dups (sranger)? They "appear" to be the same. Delete 909 if applicable.

Can you add the additional colums to the sticky? This way they can supply the info for Trans, IUP, ICAP etc...

Yes they are duplicates. Feel free to delete from your or MY05GT's copy (whoever is going to maintain the master copy).

No point in me doing it if you or MY05GT are adding new members to your master copy. In fact that may cause unnecessary confusion. I'll let you 2 work it out.

I'll update the 1st post on the sticky to reflect the new columns. Recommend either of you add a new post to the sticky to also annouce addition info desired.
