I DO live in Cali! But, I resisted the urge to buy one off the lot... I can not wait to sell it, I am going to trade it in. I am just going to have to bit the bullet and go in, in the morning and deal with it.

I will be wearing a low cut tank, some tight jeans, and bat my eyes... maybe the Used Car Manager will fall victim to my feminin wiles and give me full KBB for it!

i work at a carmax in texas, and i wouldnt be surprised at all if your local carmax offered $7k. Thats REALLY low miles, they would fight to get it. Have it appraised just to check.

and best of luck to your daughter

try this: pump iron, wear muscle shirt, find woman salesperson

might work in the same way. Ladies, need some opinions!

You could. If you found a single female dealer.

no pics and we already need to use the smiley.. geez

Good luck again Jess. I never knew that about your daughter. We wish her the best in everything. She is a tough one

I really wish my car was paid off. I've been missing my 2000GT I had, and yours being white (mine was as well) and a 5-speed, for the right price i'd love to have it as a DD. Oh well, to many things, not enough money.

Remember my bet? Guess you should've taken it

Still no word for me, but this has got to be good news, built same day, and I'm a touch closer. In fact I do beleive they stop here and truck them to California.

So mine may be stitting 10 miles away from me as I speak....... AHHAHAHAHAH!

Ill be sending this thread to my dealer......

I'm going to explode!

If it's any consolation...I did get my Cobra lighter today from MGW...it's a sign!

You're kind of in the same situation that I was in. I wasn't expecting my car till Feb, and it arrived day after turkey day. I had about 1 1/2 weeks notice and couldn't sell my truck in time so I had to trade it in. Luckily, they gave me just enough to cover what I needed. I'd definitely check out Carmax though. It only takes them about 30 minutes to get you a price. My dealer was able to beat them by about 400 bucks though. With your car in great shape though, you'll have some leverage with Carmax.

Best of luck, with your car but most especially with your daughter.

Jason

I am sitting here in absolute disbelief....

My car... is here.... since it came in compeltely unannounced, and THREE weeks early... the guys PDI'd it, and then told my sales guy it was in.

I dont even have the down for it, because I havent sold my 99. I am happy its here, but sad because I cant even go to look at it until I figure out what I am going to do!!!

I know, .... I could cry!
awesome, go down there and trade up for the new Hotness!

why not just buy it without a down payment and then when you finally do sell your 99, put that money towards your loan.

Just a possibility i guess

Jess, my car showed up 2 weeks early and I was not ready for it either. I was trying to sell my Jeep for about $5,000 more than the dealer would give me. I spoke to the dealer and after some intense negotiations (man, that sounds like I am a SWAT guy or something) the salesmanager met me in the middle and increased what they were going to give me on the Jeep by $2,500. I drove away with the car that day. Put some pressure on the dealer, it may help.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. Sorry to hear about your kid. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I'm gonna jump on board the CarMax band-wagon as well. The commute and 30 minutes of evaluation will be worth the trouble (when comparing what the dealer is offering). I've had 3 friends got to CarMax and have gotten great deals on their cars over dealership trade-ins.
