Last night I'm running to my favorite Pizza and Wings place to sit down have a couple of beers and wait for my order. I've been making a habit of parking far out of the way of anybody, and lo and behold toward the back of the parking lot sits a brand new Vette. What a nice place to park I thought I park the Stang next to it and am on my way into the Pizza joint when someone pulls up to me and says "Your stang looks better than that Vette" I laughed and thanked him..

Wow, now that's a compliment!

I have to agree Tony....had a friend named Jim show up at our Houston get together yesterday and he just traded in his Z06 to get the new stang....said despite the fact that it ran well he was tired of the same old body style and looks the vettes have had for so long....his mission now is to outrun them by modding his stang....considering what he's saved between the price of the vette and the stang, he should have plenty of money to pump into his new pony to do some damage....gotta love looking better then a 70k car right? LOL Good job!

John

To be fair, the Stang doesn't look "better" -- it looks fresher or more classic. The vette hasn't changed much in 20+ years. It's a nice look, and the right look for the car. But like a 911, it is what we're used to seeing (despite minor refinements). The mustang on the other hand is brand new, mixed with retro, but unique on the street. I suspect in 5 years, we'll see many of the darned things, that it might not be nearly as unique. That's not to bad mouth it, just be realistic.
