well, yesterday my dealer told me my car was at "the ramp"... like the regional one, and i would have my car TODAY

today i call the dealer, all excited.... and get transfered to the manager...

"sorry, your car was at the ramp in KANSAS, now it's on a train again"

WTH?!?!?!?! It shipped 3 WEEKS AGO!!!! and it only made it to kansas?!?!?!

i am beyond pissed. I ordered this car in NOVEMBER!!! and it's STILL not here!!! i want to cry! What is going on?! why does it take so long? seems like everyone elses cars that got shipped a week after mine already got to their destination!

i am going to crawl in a hole and die now.

Those Yellow cars are slippery. What does the Evil Lady say? See if one of the guys here can run a report for you... Anyone?

Don't worry I'll drive extra to cover the both of us.

Ok, that was harsh... That's too bad your dealer got your hopes up. The second you get the car you forget you waited.

My status was also "at the ramp" just yesterday. Then I checked today and it was back on the rail. I found out that the ramp they were referring to was also Kansas City.

Today it arrived at the ramp in Denver! Should get it by the weekend.

Don't stress, the trains move rather quickly. Look at it thiss way. At least your through the build process and have left the factory. There are many others who can't even get that far.

Man, at least it has been built and is in transit. You could be like some and be C/U.

i know i know. ERL says it's on a rail car again.

It's just worse when they tell you today, and then say, wait nevermind, next week!!!

*cries*

I gotta say... Don't whine about your car not arriving at a set date. I mean really there are still people on here that are C/U from November! I can have sympathy for those folks. Your car is built and in transit too you... There are so many of us on here that are C/U dating all the way back to November.

Is it frustrating? Sure. But schedules are not set and clearly Ford's tracking capabilities aren't all that fantastic even for the dealership. So take everything you get about the status of your car with a grain of salt because chances are it is in accurate or out of date.

It seems that ford is taking 1 month to deliver cars now. They ship them out of factory quick the next step is going to holding lots just to get the darn cars away from the factory. They then sit!! and sit. Looks like they should hire more truck drivers and just ship all of the cars straight to there destinations. I think this would solve the long waits?

Oh where to begin, I feel for you. I ordered Nov. 15th. After ripping my REgional Rep a new one, it was moved up from March 28th and built this week. He says it will be here by April 1st. April fools day, what a surprise, it goes along with the rest of this deal! Good luck, I'll be feeling your pain!

Yes they need to hire trucks to get these cars rolling!

Like Altoid said, the wait is the worst part,

you'll forget about it the second you finally lay your eyes on it.

Time for you to chill. You are mad because you ordered in November and it has not arrived yet? It took 7 months before mine arrived from the time I ordered it.

no i am mostly mad because i think it is seriously BS that it takes over 3 weeks to ship a vehicle. Had i waited 7 months... well, i probably wouldn't have waited that long because i probably would have cancelled and ordered somewhere else, but whatever makes you happy... if i was you i would have been more upset then i am right now. I signed the papers for this car 4 days before my first ETA of 3/9/05. My payments start on the 17th. So technically i am paying interest on a car that ford can't deliver on time. I think i have every right to be pissed thankyouverymuch!!

I ordered my 1999 Mustang from the factory and it didn't take anywhere near this long. Yeah, i know that the new 05s are more popular, but they need to figure out a better way to ship them.

my guess is those are from dealers changing the orders without telling the customer. My dealer was well aware that i did not want him to remove the IUP. I'm sure it'll have it.

You're right to be upset, Emilee. It seems unfathomable that it could take so long for your car to be transported that distance. I waited several months to get a specially-ordered Escort ZX2. I know, it was "just an Escort," but it was the first time I ever ordered a car and I really enjoyed the little bugger. It came all the way from Mexico! 3 weeks would have seemed normal!

Find solace in the fact that every second, it gets closer to you!

GREAT choice in colors and options, btw. I'm sure you'll love it!
