I have seen the specs and notice that the vert eats up about 3 cubic feet in the trunk. However, this is really something that needs to be seen to get a feel for it. So far there areno verts in my area and I wanted to know if someone could post some pics of their trunk. If you have also seen the trunk on a coupe, can you compare the two? I have a coupe on on order put the vert pictures have me leaning towards changing my order, but I want to be able to take long road trips to the beach and the mountains and I'm worried about luggage room. Thanks!

I don't have pics. Sorry. But I did get to look in the trunk of one here in SD and it only looks have lost about 6"-8" in depth. It didn't look bad at all. and the rear deck opening seemed a bit bigger, so that changes the perception too.

It looked good to me though.

I don't have my camera with me at the moment, but when I get home from work I can take some pics of my vert's trunk for you.

Thanks, that would be great. I just need to make sure that it could handle the normal big suitcase, a medium one, and then a bag or two. I think it should but the pictures should tell me for sure. Thanks!

Hey Fastball25- The trunk pics did not turn out as good as I would have liked. The trunk is about 4'5" long and reduces to 3'9" towards the back. The width from front to back is about 1'9" until the back of the trunk starts to slope (very slightly). The height of the trunk is about 1'2" until you hit the slope, the very back of the trunk is 6"high and the middle is about 9 or 10" high...hope this helps. here is a link to the trunk photos:

and here is a link to some pics i took today cause i'm such a "proud mamma"

Thanks for the pics leesi. So, do you think you would be able to fit a regular sized suticase back there along with a duffle or two? My wife and I really want to be able to take a trip or two in this thing and we will need to be able to fit close for a week+. Do you think you would have enough room for you and someone else to go on a week long trip?

probably, but not sure.... did you see the thread with the picture of the guy in his trunk? if the trunk is big enough to hold a grown man, it HAS to be big enough for a suit case and some duffles. when i get home from work, i'll throw my suitcase in the trunk and let you know how it fits.

Actually that was my wife. When she faces you, she looks more lady like. She is only 4'-11". She laid down flat. Her head touched one side and her feet touched the other. So I imagine the trunk is about 5' wide. This is the coupe's trunk though, not the vert. But I thought it might help give an idea.

hey fastball25- okay, i got home from work and loaded my trunk. i used a suitcase (26"longX19"wide &10" deep), a duffle bag (21" long, 10"wide &12A"deep). i did not have a 2nd duffle bag to throw in, so i used a cooler (14L"X9w"X14H), a 12 pack of corona light(measurements not taken), a pink flamingo and a sock monkey. there was enough room on top of the suit case to put pillows, blankets, or a hanging clothing bag(not hanging, of course, but laid out on top). also, there was a little space between the suitcase and the front of the trunk(which is what i call the part closet to the trunk door) to put a few small items in, like paper towels, a bag of snacks, or another 2 pink flamingos (or 4 sock monkeys). hope this helps.

YES... of course they would fit,but when i ordered my car, i chose the "trunk monkey and dead hooker delete option"... that is why they were not in the trunk when i took the pictures for fastball25. ps- last time i had a trunk monkey, he caused NOTHING but trouble. That is why i opted for "trunk sock monkey"(he doesn't get road rage and if he DOES get it, the pink flamingo keeps him balanced.)

Hey leesi, thanks again for the pics. This definitely answers my questions. You are one of the many reasons why these forums rock! You went above and beyond on this one, but I appreciate it. Now I have to talk my wife into the vert. She likes the coupe because the fastback look, but I'll reminder how much fun a vert can be!

Thanks again!
