Trunk light not working...

My trunk light (to illuminate the trunk at night) isn't working. Note, I have my 3rd brake light disconnected due to my CDC spoiler. I have a feeling the trunk light and 3rd brake light are the same bulb... am I correct?

If so, no biggie. That's what flashlights are for!

If not, I'll swing by a dealer and have them check it out.

Nope. Two seperate bulbs. Are you sure you plugged it back in when you put the black cover back on after installing your ducktail? Just a thought.

Ducktail was dealer installed. They must've forgot to plug it back in, oops. Is this an easy fix, or should I bring it in to have it looked at? Don't want any chance of messing up the ducktail.

Not sure if this might be the case..

But in my '07 the trunk light only goes on if it is dark outside. During the day my trunk light never switches on. I've even cupped my hands around it and nothing. As soon as it gets dark then it switches on.

Your's situation might be wiring but i though i'd share what i've noticed with mine.

Freaking Ford...They put a light sensor for the d@mn trunk but they can't raise the passenger seat?

No kiddin, that's the dumbest darn thing I've heard. A light sensor in the trunk??? I find that hard to believe.

I think this feature is part of the '07 Comfort Group (53B). I noticed last night that my interior lights switched on when it is dark as well. There is a light sensor on the mirror.

Tried to turn on both the headlights and fog lights for pics in the daytime, would not work, one or the other. At night both came on, I also have the comfort group.

Just went out and checked, mine came on in the day. There is a spring loaded switch next to the latch, that is the on /off switch. Sounds like some work needs to be done on yours.
