Trunk light activated by brake?

Trunk light activated by brake?
I had the back seat folded down and noticed that whenever I stepped on the brake the trunk light came on. Is that normal?

I am pretty sure the light you are seeing is the 3rd brake light. It is not enclosed from the inside so it would light up the trunk when you hit the brakes.

You are right, that is what it is. I have to put my seat down to get my hockey gear in the back and that is what I see too.
