Trans Drain hole?

Anyone notice a square drain hole at the bottom of the bellhousing on a TR3650?

Never noticed it before.

Or is it supposed to be there?

Not a drain hole

Take a quick pick so I know if we are talking about the same hole.

Ok. Thats good news.

If it's supposed to be there I assume that it allows clutch debris to escape from the bell housing.

The clutch and pressure plate are visible throuhg the hole. I'm not talking about the the plate in front.
