traded my 05 gto for an 06 Mustang
Hello -
I'm new to the site. So many Mustang sites and so little time!
Just traded my 05 GTO M6 for mySatin Siver 5-speed GT. What a car the GT is! So much more fun to own and drive than the GTO in my opinion. The GTO had a cushy interior, and the LS2 is very torquey, but to me that's about all it had going for it. It was just a very undwewhelming car in terms of appearance, and from a performance standpoint only slightly faster than my GT.
I've owned many, many musclecars, but the GT is one of the few that I just cannot wait to get in and drive. It's something I'll hold onto forever, and has the feel of a classic.
Looking to add a set of Halibrand or Shelby TT wheels. I can't decide right now - any thoughts?

Welcome to the Light side of the Force!
Halibrands look sweet on the 05+ model. There's a company here in LA that is fabbing 18" (or maybe it was 20") Hallibrands for our cars.
here's a pic of them from Crystal Cove on an old Shelby. Rrobello and I talked to the owner for a while.

Mainly GM and Mopar, and of the two the Mopars have been my favorites. Last musclecars were a 71 Chevelle 454 LS-5 4-speed, and a 69 440-6bbl Roadrunner. The Roadrunner is my favorite hands down.
Others I have owned
Magnum SRT8 - Current
69 COPO Chevelle
69 Camaro SS
87 Buick GN
71 Duster 340
70 Camaro SS x 2
83 Hurst Olds
05 GTO

Are they offering deep lips like the wheels in the picture?

I looked at the GTO. I also looked at the Dodge Charger and the Magnum W/ hemi. I have to agree. Not crazy about the looks of those cars. When I saw the Mustang GT, it was love at first sight. I had to have one. Never had a second thought.

Well, we have a Magnum SRT8, and I do love the looks of it, so I can't agree with you there. On the GTO though, I never warmed up to it.

I completely agree about the bland looks of the GTO but what I noticed most when I took an '04 for a test drive was that I couldn't get over the feeling I was driving a BIG, HEAVY car. I really wanted to like the Goat (my Dad has a '65) and I thought it would have been cool if I got one too, but I like the Mustang so much better.
