Traded '04 GT for '07 GT and LOVE IT!
Traded '04 GT 5 speed w/93K miles for Ford certified pre-owned '07 silver GT auto w/36K miles on it. The one owner must have never driven this thing,it's like a brand new car. The one thing he did do was install some sort of K&N cold air intake. I don't much about it,but I like the whoosing, whistling sound it makes when I get on it.
I loved my '04,never gave me any problems, but this thing is like a Rolls Royce compared to it,my wife said it's like riding in a real car,and not an airplane. Most impressed by how solid the trunk sounds when I shut it,compared to my '04. Love, love, love it,I just want to go outside and stare at her.........

She looks great, nice shot!
I also went from a '99 to an '09. The difference in quality is noticeable. I love that you can't stop staring. I think that that is a common problem with these years, causes owners to turn around and stare while walking away
in my highly biased opinion, these cars are the best looking steel to hit the road in a long time, and I predict they will be the next '69' as far as long term favorites go. love the 10-up interior, but these are not 'bad' interior-wise.
comfortable, FUN TO DRIVE, quick, FUN TO DRIVE, decent mileage, FUN TO DRIVE, very sweet looking, and fun to drive too
I like the new rear on the 13 a lot, but think the nose looks a little bit heavy- biggest thing to me is the 30k for a base gt is simply too high to justify - i'm really worried that ford is pricing them out of the market. look at mustang for what it is in its basic 'deluxe' trim, its not a high end car- but costs a lot more than some well optioned sedans with more content (except for 2 cylinders). IMO the mustang needs to be more affordable, we'll see. If I ever thought about adding a 13 or 15, it will likely be in 2020 if I'm still around. stubborn me just thinks 25k for a basic v8 mustang should be plenty of profit for ford. by the time the 15 GT arrives I bet theyll be 35 base and average low/mid 40's... simply not where the mustang has been traditionally compared to average incomes that aint exactly been soaring lately.
anyways, congrats- and thanks for doing your part in beautifying the American roadways

I drive my boys,6 and 4,to school everyday, and they love it,and they've got alot more room in the back now. That's one of the reasons I bought the '04 and now this,to attempt to give them nice memories of riding to school in a cool car. I got to ride to school sometimes in '71 Formula 400,and that really had an impact. Even if they never care about cars, that's fine, but if they do,they'll have some good memories. They especially love the sound.
Congrats on the S197! And I agree -- the 05-09's are a much better car all-around than the SN95s. I had a '98 V6, and my '09 GT/CS feels bigger inside, much more solidly built, and -- discounting the additional two cylinders -- drives and rides much better. Good move!
Yeah, don't get me wrong,I loved that '04. It may go down as one of the most trouble-free cars I'll ever own,but I was ready for a change and I really wanted a '05 when they came out. Sometimes I'd sit in my '04 and I'd think things like,"You know, this dashboard was designed in the early '90s.......". I did kinda like the pull-**** for the lights. Such a goofy old touch. The '99-04 may still have my favorite rear styling of any Mustang, especially on a '03-04 Cobra.
