tourists in NYC taking pics of my car! :)
hi all,
so from time to time, i just park my stang in front of my condo building on Centra Park South. There is 1 legal spot there on sundays only. my doorman watches the car for me. more often, ferrari's and bentleys are parked here because Ritz Carlton is a few buildings down.
I come out and just hang out in front and tourists are taking pics of my car!
again, ignoring the grey 360 modena parked right in front of me
just thought i'd share this. many years later...still a rare and great looking car!
man! ford did great with the body shape

We're driving celebrities. It's funny people are taking pics of your Mustang and not the Ferraris and Bentleys. And we didn't have to pay a king's ransom either. with all my mods, body work, etc...im around $34K range..i think....give or take a few thousand...
but still...very very affordable!
Well it is a Mustang afterall. Even when I had my '89 and then '98, people commented from time to time for the simple fact it was a Mustang. The one thing we will always have on any other car is that EVERYBODY knows what a Mustang is, EVERYBODY. It's an American icon for sure.
What kind of tourist? Surely not American as one would think they've already seen the newest Mustang.
I'm thinking a gaggle of Japanese tourists that's never seen real American beef before (too much rice).

I think they were taking pictures of the one true rarity in NYC... THE PARKING SPOT!!!
(j/k Yao!)
Back in 2005 I had one of the few black/black/black convertibles - I was returning home from Las Vegas, stopped off at the Starbucks at the state line. When I returned with my coffee there was a group of people from a tour bus ogling the car and snapping pix. It was coool! I enjoyed it while it lasted.
Now here in SoCal I'm far from unique... just another drone on the road...
