Top Gear Mustang on Track?
So my 350Z leg humping friend has to point out his 350Z is 48th on Top Gears "Stig Track Times", but the Mustang "must've not made it on the list."
I contend they didn't put it on the track. Wonder why not? It would have been interesting to have seen it perform there instead of relagated to the "Cool Wall."

Well looks like BBC might have been listening.
This season to Top Gear E3 Season8. Just finished watching it.
They have the 2005 Stang up against the New Lotus Elise. Racing side by side on the track.
All I gotta say is. The Lotus looks like it's half the size of the Mustang, which means it's half the weight. Plus the Mustang has a live rear axle.
And the net result was that the Stang kept up pretty close with the Lotus. Finished only a car length behind. It cornered just a well as the Lotus.
Pretty **** GOOD!!
Hopefully someone will put this episode up on one of those video sites.
Or you can always download it via Torrent.

yeah it didn't do bad considering it was against a lotus with a lot less weight (a much smaller engine though). The only thing was that it was the Stig in the Mustang and Clarkson in the Lotus.
too bad they didnt record his time though.
Edit: That was a great video, never saw it before. I never thought he would say anything other than a British car was the greatest. Nice find

if I'm not mistaken..that shot of the green stang from the rear doing the burn out in the gravel is a mate of James' (JGMuzzy)
I seem to remeber him telling me that was his buds car..or it was the one in the next shot..i don't remeber exactly
