Now that my GT is past its break-in period I've done a few runs on the way home from work. Running 125, 130 & 135 mph for about 10-12 miles (all legal), will tell you that with the top down the air just about beats you to death, but its fun!

Have not done a full out run yet but do run 100-120 mph for 15-30 miles unrestricted areas on the Autobahn from place to place. Full out run will be with top up. Did notice the hood movement that other spoke of at high speeds.

What have other encountered with top up/down ay high speeds?

Wow! I wish there was an autobahn around here. Maybe I can find a racetrack somewhere to open her up. Only had her up to 80 MPH so far, but it's pretty exciting when it's on back roads! I really love to drive this car!!! :drive:

With the top down, top speed to keep your hat on is 90mph. Once you hit that the hat goes.

Yeah, been reading about lost hats and can see why!

I went to Sinshiem Tech Museum with the kids today and ran 100-110 mph mostly, 120 at one point coming back with top down, lots of wind over the windshield.

Overall, over 1700 miles driven I've avg 17.1 mpg.

Gah, I'm so jealous. It pains me to drive below 80 mph on the highways here. I feel like I'm holding my Stang back, it *wants* to be let loose.

What type and grade of engine oil are you using for speeds like that? And how is the servicing availability? My fiancée is looking at jobs in London and Paris and I would take my car.

Top down 110 and the wind was beating me to death. Top up... 135. and no its not legal where I've done it. Had a lot of wind noise at 135 w/ the top and windows up but still rode extremely smooth. Was very impressed.
