For you Dan, I can take the hit.
Selling a popular car at a loss means you failed to excite your customer. A sales manager wouldnt let you do it anyway. Here is my ultimate customer test. One of you go out and buy a brand new plasma TV at 1/2 the cheapest advertized price(not an out of box one either), and I will sell you a car cheaply.

A true test of a good dealer is if he'll take a loss for you. I value that.

And I've seen plasma TV's for half the cheapest advertised price being sold out of cube vans all the time! And you don't have to pay tax. So WHEN can I get my under-invoice price?

I talked to someone "in the know" and asked him how Job 1 went today. He told me that Ford doesn't officially recognize Job 1, but that things are on schedule to meet the expectations of the customers.

The problem with car sales is that there is no price tag...if there was a price tag and no negotiation, we wouldn't have this game/problem. Like carmax...no games/no hassle. you go in and see the price. just like you would at best buy for a plasma tv. the price stares you in the face and you either buy it or not.

They also sell new cars with the same policy. One price no hassle, and they are GOOD deals!!! From my experience on the vehicles I've researched...always near or under invoice. As far as used cars...I don't know...i don't buy used cars, but from what i've seen on their website...the used cars are cheap too.
