I wanted to gather TMS members for a group photo this past Saturday at the NAIAS in Detroit, but it never came to pass. The Auto Show was a madhouse! It simply wasn't a good venue to arrange such a gathering. The crowds saw to that! However, I was able to get a couple of pix of me with my favorite American pony car...

How about you folks? Post 'em if ya got 'em! And share your opinions of the show while you're at it.

(My TMS shirt evoked curious remarks from others. I described the website and encouraged them to log on.)

I'll be there this Friday! I can't wait to see the convertible, and will definitely post a pic on Saturday.

Chris, I got there a little later, as your customs guys were giving me a rough time

Surprised I didn't spot that shirt a mile away. I only bothered taking 2 pictures of ducktails, otherwise it was just too crowded.

Sorry I missed ya, Steve. I tried to maintain visibility! Of course, I was easily distracted among all of that eye candy! And you're right, it was too crowded. It's better on weekdays; most kids are in school!

Yeah, those customs folks are a hoot. They always throw me off with their bizarre line of questioning. Still worth the trip to Canada any day though.

Hope you had a good time. I walked nearly 10 miles and took over 300 pix and video clips.

The convertible is definitely worth the trip alone. I found it difficult to get a clear shot of it most of the day; it was a crowd favorite.

Thumbs up on your shirt. It looks alot better than I had pictured in my head. Too bad it was so crowded, it would have been nice to see a group picture.

Thanks, man. I got a shop at the mall to airbrush a tie-dye I had. They did good work. Too bad I won't be able to wear it till the summer! If nothing else, it was a good conversation starter.

With the heat of all of those lights and people at the show, I was glad I dressed down!

For once, all my crap business trips to Detroit will pay off. I will finally be there during the NAIAS! Any suggestions on parking or anything else? Plan on being there when the doors open on Saturday. Maybe that will be early enough to get a few pictures.

I've always walked to the Cobo Center from the Ren Cen, or taken the People Mover. Sorry I can't give you advice on parking! And yes, get there as early as possible.

If you're patient, you can get a few good pix. Timing is the key!
