Tire Pressure sensors
I wish I could help you out, but I do not know myself- I have replaced my wheels and tires so if anyone knows where to look I could take a peek and see if the sensors are still present.
Thank you guys I know the sensors are there, i'm planning on NOT putting them back with my new rims. I wonder if I can program the car to accept not finding the signal or what ever.
I swapped out my stock wheels for charcoal takeoff bullitts. I didn't put in sensors. My car is an 07. When you crank the car, the TPMS light FLASHES for a little bit, the goes away. It doesn't stay illuminated. It may come on and flash some on longer trips, but it did not stay on, and hasn't stayed on continuously yet.
if you have the information center, you will get a TPMS malfunction message. you will need to press reset every time you start up your engine. no big deal, but that sort of small things bug me.
as far as i know, no one has found a way yet to turn off the TPMS.
but yeah, there are several threads on this topic.
