Tire Blowout

With 4100 miles on my car I had a blow out in San Antonio this weekend. Got my baby towed on a flat bed to Northside Ford and they didn't find a nail or anything in the tire to explain the blow out and instead of saying it was a faulty tire they claimed I must have hit something. Well if they could tell whether there was a nail or something wouldn't they be able to tell if I had hit something. Regardless the tire was toast. No wheel damage thank God. They were very prompt in getting me another tire though just sucks I had to pay for it. Anyone else had tire issues?

I had a hole in my tire.. that I found after rotating. It was clearly a defect in the tire's construction yet my dealer said that I must have run over something. Mine never blew out but I could see the belt so it was probably getting close. I had to pay full price for my tire.

re:

Tires hate me. I once replaced 5 tires in 3 months.

Once I was at a stop light and I had some old man revving his engine at me. So I went to gun it and BAM!! My tire blew out and I ended swerving instead of speeding away. Makes me wonder if he threw the nail down there or some thing. Really odd how that happened. It ended up being a nail and of course I had to buy a new tire.

I've gone through 2 new tires, 1 plug and 1 "reseal". The blow outs occured at highway speeds, resulting in absolute destruction of the tire. The first was the result of a screw hole which the dealer showed me. The 2nd was inconclusive because the entire tread was lost. Only 2 inches of tire remained (attached to rim). The plug was from a nail, and the reseal was a "defect" according to the dealer (fixed free of charge). The reseal tire has since gone flat twice and is going back. I'm assuming now the defect was not in the tire but the rim, and the car is going back in ASAP for this, plus an ETC/ABS issue, and a third visit for an emegency brake issue. Oh, I also am having the front seat cover issue addressed. Wonder how Chad Mcqueen is making out with his TSBs, lol.

Thank goodness for road hazard warantees. Bought new Bridgestones for my girlfriends Neon last fall from Sears, and paid the $7 a tire for road hazard warantee. 3 weeks ago took it in for a slow leak, they found 2 screws 6 inches apart, one right on the shoulder. She got a brand new tire free, I only had to pay $3.16 for the tire recycling fee. I'm thinking about switching the tires on the '07 out for KDW's right away, and if I do I'll be buying the road hazard warantee again.
