Time for Grease

I am going to hit the grease this weekend - anyone know how many fittings there are?

I am guessing outer tire rods - 2, lower ball joints - 2. That should be it for the front end.

Are the U-joints factory sealed? (no fittings)

We have fittings? I dunno. I know my 2002 Sport Trac has no fittings. I have never looked at the suspension on my stang.

Good point - my other vehicles have fittings all over.

I have been under my GT a few times, but never paid any attention or looked for fittings. I suppose I should just get under there and take a look...

No fittings unless you have aftermarket rear control arms or something.

Some of Ford's Motorcraft brand replacement parts (red and white box) have grease fittings in them, but those are meant to be lower cost and might not last as long as the oem ones that are sealed. If you ever need a tie rod end replaced, make sure they use the oem part (plain brown box with part number sticker), they will last longer.

Yep - I took a look and it appears that everything is factory sealed - no grease fittings.

I guess I am used to old cars. And umm... tractors.
