Time for Change: Going to sell my Mustang in a week and a half.
I hate to admit it, but that hyundai genesis is a nice car- looks wise its weird to me, and I still have a 'thing' about foreign cars...but now that hyundai is building stuff here, all they need to do is put a cool looking body on it and camaro/mustang/challenger sales will be in trouble.
I actually don't mind the back of the Genesis but the front leaves a bit to be desired. The 2013 seems to have been improved looks-wise.next time you see a hyundai, like it or not, take a look at the panel seams in the trunk/hatch and door edge hem crimps... they look better than the exterior body finish than most US cars, look at a gm/ford its kinda embarassing... a guy at work just bought a elantra, another buddy got a hummer- I told the hummer guy to go look at the seams on the hyundai, then open his door and look at the hummer- he actually got kinda upset, had never paid attention to it before. I dont like them for no good reason, but they are pretty well assembled at a minimum.

back on track, hope things workout ok for anyone wanting to part with their pony... and hope if time/situation/feelings change, a second chance will arise... If I lost all mine tomorrow, or had to let it go, I'd still say I feel like the luckiest guy in the world for having my 'dream car' for the 6 years that I did. I got rid of a couple cars in the past, a 69 camaro, a 71 elcamino, a 85 camaro(my first new car), few others, and it always seemed 6 months later things changed and I regretted it- still do, but time marches on...
five hundred it amazing in snow and ice and its way more optioned. it also gets better mpg and has enough trunk space for five or six dead bodies. It has the most leg room in the rear seat that I have seen in any car other then a pheaton.

Your car is 5yrs old...paid for.
Get a WRX. Turbo, four doors, all-wheel drive...Colorado winter car.
I have both and can't wait until April 1st. The day I took delivery of my car in 2006 is the same day I take it out every season. Just like the first day every time!

I'm leaning towards Subarus for sure. But, today as I put my summer wheels and tires on, I got to thinking...Is my Mustang enthusiasm gone? Or just on hold? But, I really do want four doors and better traction and more trunk space...what a toss up...

I'm also in the camp of saying you'll regret it down the road and you should look at a winter beater instead. Unless you are high risk, not having comp and collision coverage can save you a lot on insurance costs, I don't have C/C coverage on my Miata, and only pay $12/month for insurance on it. Saving up between now and fall to pay cash for a winter beater and having just basic insurance coverage should make it affordable.
I've had four Mustangs in the 21 years since I bought my first one the week I turned 18. I owned each one for an average of 3-4 years before selling it, and in time regretted selling each one, although it seemed like a good idea at the time, and eventually came back and bought another Mustang. I understand the desire to try something different, and if you do end up selling your Mustang, I have a feeling you'll be back in another Mustang eventually.

Well. The Mustang has been up for sale since March 27. Only calls I got so far were scammers. If I don't sell it within the three weeks that the ad is valid, I'll hang on to it.
Just out of curiosity, what do the scammers say? Also, if you're getting a new car, what about trading it in?
I am not looking for a NEW car, but used. And, I will only be paying what I make from the Mustang, no payments or loans. The Mustang is paid for.
