Thinking: Coupe or Vert?
And...hey...side visibility is not an issue with the top down!
Not to hijack this thread, but I'm proud to say I've yet to see anybody in a Mustang 'vert riding top down with the windows up (Volvo-style).

I own a 2005 Vert. It is my third covertible. My first was a 1990 Miata (No laughing please - still the best braking and handling stocker I've ever owned.) Me I love top down motoring, Wife hates having her hair messed up and can't handle the chill. Northern Virginia might actually not be too bad. I pretty much start dropping the top above 50 degrees. That means youy'll have top down weather about 9 months a year, which is much better than I have here in Wisconsin.
That said, If you won't be driving with the top down , get a coupe.
If you want to do a lot of serious mods - get a coupe as the vert is less rigid.
If you live in a high crime area where someone will slash your top to get your stereo - get a Camaro! (thern you won't really give a ####!)

You are absolutely right cuz that would be sooooooo:gay:
Here's a reason not to get a convertible....

I was just waiting for all my glass to break but it didn't... We talked to neighbors with a convertible and it destroyed the top just like the gas grille cover...

thats what a garage is for...
Oh all the sheet metal surfaces are ruined. But it would have been a real mess if it was a convertible because the interior would ave been ruined as well.
I don't have a garage. I was vsiting at my sister's house 30 miles away when this hailstorm hit. If I had stayed home I would have had no damage.

Buy nice car later....JMO
Seriously, do not buy a new car. You are actually losing a lot more money than you think. You think you are getting a lower payment, but you have to realize that you lost all your down payment for the current car and all those monthly payments. The car market sucks right now, and the new car would depreciated even faster since it is almost mid year. I would suggest you keep this car, pay it off and wait for the new model. You might like the new model better and you could get the vert then. just my .02 cent.
If I could go back in time, I would have kept my 06 and finish paying it off then to be in more debt.
