Id like to add the RDS feature, I dont think its in the book.

Hold menu down for 3-5 seconds and the RDS on/off feature can be enabled. off by default, this gives you the artist/name of the song playing on most FM stations.
OK to have the radio find stations by genre.

1. hold MENU button down for a few secs until the RDS feature comes up.
2. press the MENU button again (no hold) and it will cycle to FIND ****
3. use the up/down arrows above the MENU button to cycle through the different genres.

I posted a thread like this on the forum I'm an Admin on. I put in a bunch of stuff that wasn't true. I had guys running out to their cars all night long trying different stuff. Then it was " hey my car doesn't do that, I got ripped off" all night long. Cheap thrills for me. LOL

IF YOU TAKE TO LONG TO fill with gas the gas light becomes red where the E is telling you that you better stop soon. also if you leave the blinker on the car will remind you by making a noise like if the door is open to get your attention to the screen to let you know the blinker is on.. yyayayaya for me

PS found this out on my own . did not need a stinkin manual LOL J/K

oops i was thinkin you asked if the other gauges did this, I didnt read correctly, but leaving my reply

I dont think so, Had my temp gauge pegged one day when I forgot to plug the fan back in, no change in color, but then again I did not have my lights on, not sure if that matters.

No beeps, no display warnings, just happened to look at the gauge when I was stuck in a traffic jam and was like ooooo sheeeet.

Yes. The lights have to be on. I finally saw the gauge turn red the other day. It came on at 10 miles to empty and when I turned off the lights it went back to normal.

Just went and checked out the RDS feature after reading the instructions in the owner's manual.

Once you have selected which genre you want to find, press one of the seek buttons (<, >) or the scan button. The trick is you have to do it while the screen still reads "FIND ****" Then it cycles through all the radio stations. Don't press menu again or it will take you to the next option, which is how you want the RDS displayed. Either NAME or TYPE.

You can see it stop very briefly at each station. When it gets the signal, it looks at what genre it is and if it's not the right one, it moves on until it finds what you're looking for.

Sure enough....it worked. But you have to stand real close for it to work.
I'll prob never use it again after yesterday.
Everyones pretty sick of me now saying....hey check this out lolol.
I was at a car show last week and it started raining. The car was close enough that my friend was able to run over and put the windows up quickly. When it stopped raining, down they went with the key fob.

So useful? Yes.
