Thumbs down

Today, on the way to my g/f's in Princeton on River Road, I saw a Redfire V6 Mustang that looked like the entire front end up to the windshield (which was one big plate of spiderwebs and stress cracks) had been through a trash compactor. Engine oil/coolant/power steering/tranny fluids all over the road. The rad/engine was clearly visible and they looked like mashed bugs. There were plenty of cops but no other car or ambulance in sight. It appeared the driver, a kid who looked all of 15, hit an inanimate object at quite a clip. I would guess around 75 - 90 MPH by the way that front end was crumpled. :bang: The kid was just staring at the car, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a cell phone to his ear. The experssion on is face was completely blank. He looked like he was in shock. I know I was, lol. There was no time to take a pic and I would have felt bad if I pulled over and did, anyway, being in a brand spanking new '05 Mustang GT.

It's good to know that our cars can hold up to such a strong impact and we can come out unscatched. It looked like there wasn't a BOLT salvagable from the front end of that car.

I didn't have time to get a real good look at the driver, but I'm wondering if this was the guy I ran into at the local UNOs by the Hamilton movie theater. He had a Redfire V6... well, I suppose time will tell. The guy always hangs out at UNOs, so I'm sure I'll see him there again.

How sad to see a beautiful car destroyed, but glad to hear that the driver seemed to be okay.

Ouch! That was even painful to read. I bet the driver is sick whether he was hurt or not.

That's nuthin'...I'm sure it'll all buff right out and the car will be as good as new in no time

Hey I can fix it! "My Dad has some awesome tools" {fast times at ridgemont high}... He can get another V-6, at least it wasn't a GT.

Probably. He was going around 90 MPH in a 30 zone. That should put a nice dent in his financial future. The kid should be glad that's all he dented. Oh, and my g/f corrected me. It was River Road the accident happened on, not Rt. 206.
