Is there much of a market for take-off parts?

I've been thinking about all the stuff I would like to do to mt GT. And was wondering what I was going to do with the leftover parts. What I want to do isn't a whole lot, but just got me thinking.

Do people buy stock exhaust, grilles, air intakes? Or would it just be worth hanging on to?

If you want the extra cash, I am sure you can sell all that stuff in the for-sale section. Personally, I have kept all of the stock pieces...just in case.

I'm not sure how much demand there is for things like the OEM intake, suspension pcs, or drive shafts, but people upgrading their V6 stangs will buy some pcs. (Swaybars, some exhaust pcs, GT grill, Frt/Rr body pcs, rims/tires, Frt Brakes, etc)

So far, I've kept all the pcs I've taken off the GT save the rear Qtr windows and OEM A-arm brace.

Some of it I would hate to get rid of. I've had my car for almost a year now. And the one thing I would have an attachment to is the grille. But I really want the 'Eleanor' style grille. But if it could re-coupe some money that I put into it, it would help me out. Plus, I don't really have any storage places where it wouldn't be in the way, or get possibly damaged.

I always try to keep all oem parts that will always be able to go with the car. This reminds me I need to get a set of black GT/CS stripes to hold onto before it's too late to get them. Thats what the FORD servicemen told me about the stripes.

There is at least one company that specializes in new take-off parts for Mustangs and other cars, so there is obviously some market for the parts, but I'm with the others that say keep the stock parts if at all possible. Down the road if you want to sell the car it is usually a better thing to return the car to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff off the car. Usually you'll get more out of the car and parts that way.
