Gotta tell ya, I like your first S197 more.
Looks like the first gens S197 will definitely age gracefully.

There was a time when I was more impressed with the latter.

BTW Both excellent cars, nice taste!

1982- week I got it, before wing/slats:

2014- had sat engineless since 1984, finally started briefly last year, sat again- soon to be back on it:

july last year had hoped to have it a roller/rustfree by now, but last sept son bought a ranger we had to do a lot of work on, so the poor old mustang got back burnered for another year... this week will mark 30 years since I last drove it. hope to be on it over the winter, time/money/ambition rarely come together it seems, but hopefully soon. this week balljoints/brakes on winter cars need done, hopefully that will be it for a while on 'other cars' we'll see...
