Today, my Son let me drive his 05 GT. What a nice kid (14 yrs. old  ). We took it out of the bubble, and put about 120 miles on it.
The rear end whine and transmission chatter seemed a little quieter. All we could hear at 125 mph was the air, the exhaust, and the road. :drive:
A couple of comments on the car at high speeds. First, the hood seems to want to come up on the front outside edges. I'm going to look and see if sealing the hood or making up some type of underhood deflector to help keep the hood down.
The second thing, is that the car became a little twitchy over 110 mph. The aerodynamics of the front of the car, seemed to be lifting the front end at higher speeds. An air dam like the Boss Mustangs had would cure this problem or even a splitter to push the front end down more.
Other than these two minor things, the car performs awesome. We traveled a long stretch of lightly used state highway at over 100 mph for about 20 minutes. Felt like we were going 60 mph.
Here's a link to my Son and his car. (out of the bubble).
Happy Thanksgiving everyone !!

Not sure about you risking your sons life but thats your move.
My GT hood does the same thing at high speed. I noticed it on a trip last month and stopped to see if hood was locked and it was. Wheels are not out of balance. I found the car to have fast steering ratio there for must be driven and is not at all like My Town Car that floats and you can almost drive asleep.

Why the heck does a 14 year old have his own car? Why on earch for that matter does he has a 2005 Mustang GT? The kid will probably kill himself trying to show off for his friends. Like common, and the speeding in the car with him in it like that will only make him think that he could control the car at such a high speed. Another thing is can he even see over the steering wheel or does he need to sit on a phone book? Like I was looking at one the other day ( a Legend Lime GT) and it was like just over my hip when i was standing next to it in height and when I see that kid standing next to it he looks like his head is like the only thing thats higher then the car. How tall is he? He's gotta be like Amy extremely short.
Edit: Oh yeah and the car looks sweet man!

14 years with a new Mustang? Lucky.. I'm 14, and I get my ma's 91 wagon, and then I have to settle with the closest used 2005 V6 when I turn 18! Parents can't afford a new car for their son when they're gettin divorced... good for your son, Retro GT.
