Hey All,

After viewing a member's car like mine this morning, I decided to take it off - The rocker panel stripes. I really like the look. I was never a big fan of the sport package stripes this year, at least not in black anyway. I do think the pearl gold w/mineral grey looks better.

So, acting on the assumption I'd have no trouble, I removed them. No problem...in 20 mins, they were in the garbage. I'm attaching some pics. let me know what you think, would you?

I have never been a fan of the rocker stripes on the new Mustang.

Rocker panel stripes are CHEESY

Almost as bad as the big white mustang symbols but on their rear windows in the early 90s.

but hey what do I know?

 

Looks very clean and neat now.

 

Got a lot more of a GT look....a used set of 17" GT rims and it'd be identical from the side anyway.....looks much better!

Are we talking about the 4" stripe down the side?
I found this picture under stripes in the forum.
If so I think they rock big time.

Good move, I think the factory stipes on the '6 are kinda tacky.

 

Looks good. I had the dealer remove the white rocker stripes from mine before I picked it up. I'm glad I took it off too!

V6 or GT....doesn't matter, just a darn good looking car.

 

I like it better without them as well.

 

makes the car look like its V8 counter part.

 

Hood scoop, and new wheels, and 03 cobra motor that would be my dream car.
