Taking backrest out of car 2005 Convertible.

Hi.

Anyone here have a guide or picture how to complete remove the backrest from the 2005 convertible. ( not flip it to horizontal only )

If you're referring to the headrest on the front seats? Once you raise them to the highest position, you then take a small pin, like a safety pin and insert into the small opening, while at the same time pushing in the release lever on the opposite side... You should then be able to completely remove the seat headrest... If however, you're not referring to the front seat headrests? Then I'm not quite sure as to what you're referring to as in backrest.

I assume @m05fastbackGT gave you the information that you need, but here is a video for the Front Seat Headrest removal. Pretty basic, but shows you what Rocky was sharing...

Starting at 1:55 Through 2:30 this video also show you how to remove.

This might help you if you want the rear seat headrests removed... (Looks like the photos to guide you are missing, but the text may help)
