I have the Moss Motors plastic ones. They were a good fit. They have multiple little adhesive rectangles on the back. You peel off the cover of all of them and just stick them on. They have stayed secure for a year so far. It is a nice subtle detail, especially on a black Mustang, but I like them. It took maybe 15-20 minutes to put them on.

Haven't seen any metal ones in black.

I had the Brushed ones from Scott-Drake on my GT. To tell you the truth, the plastic is better. The metal ones required forming to fit properly. And, I have ordered the above Black Plastic ones, for my BULLITT, from MOSS myself. And am looking forward to them. They are much better looking than the Black AVS ones. IMHO.

You know, I bought a set of those from a vendor on Ebay. Can't remember the name of the company, but FLAstangx3's description is spot on to the ones I have.

I personally didn't like the way they fit. It just wasn't quite right, and they had to be forced over the light. The left one snapped with very little pressure and I had to superglue it. They do look good, though.

I pulled my tailights off and painted them. Tape up the light then cut out the areas you want painted like the bezels and a $4 can of spray paint. I did it last year and they still look good.

Dude those look real good I think doing it this way is better since it will never fall off or get ripped off. Good job

Dammit JimC, now I've got to spend my Saturday painting my taillight bezels - thanks a lot!

That's the best looking setup I've seen yet. What type of paint did you use, and is it flat or gloss? Any prep needed, like adhesion promoter?

Those tape on bezels look like total cheap pieces of krap.

The link posted by presto is exactly how I did mine. I used a gloss black paint for plastic that I picked up at Auto Zone.

Have to agree with Paris MkVI mine are high quality tape on chrome from Moss and they look excellent. I get compliments on them all the time.

I have the black ones as well and am quite happy with them. No problems with fit and gives lights a "flush" appearance.

well with all the good reports, i now have a harder decision to make....get the stick on or paint?
im not that good with painting but at the same time i like the clean look without all the stick-on pieces.
i guess i should ask how easy it is with painting the lenses, and how hard to remove them from the car.
the instructions looked pretty simple but im not really mechanically proficient with tools.
thanks for all the comments...

I've had the stick on ones from Moss for two years - Black - no issues at all. I get asked about them all the time........because others like them, especially at night.

I like the painted look- have been meaning to do this ever since I got my car
I painted the 'stripe' in my old 85 camaro lenses with pactra r/c car polycarbonate paint when it was new, that paint still looked factory when I got rid of the car in 2005...just masked carefully, scotchbrite scuffed and sprayed...
