TacoBill - the payback.

I was at a dyno day the other day and one of the guys there mentioned how he had printed out tacobills directions for something that he was modding on his car. This guy wa not a frequent (that I know of) user of TMS but it made me think of the contribution TacoBill has made to all of us in the form of detailed write-ups and intructions. I know he recently had a mishap with his car due to bad boost-a-pump instructions, and I want to give back to Bill.

anybody with me?

I would like to arrange either a collection to be sent to his paypal, or one of the vendors on this board for his mod of choice.

I for one have benefited greatly from his writeups, as I know many of you have. even parts manufacturers have probably sold parts, and had their customers be able to easily install them because of TacoBill.

I am going to start it out.

I pledge $20

faber & 281- I thank you for the gestures and I'm glad some of my how-to's have helped you and others, but please, no donations or compensations are necessary.. really.

Yes, my engine mishap was unfortunate and a little costly, but I'm fine guys. I hope to be back on the road in a couple weeks and am really looking forward to it.

I will say this about the membership within TMS, it's filled by good people... and for that, I thank you.

+1...Although we don't know each other personally and live 3000+ miles apart Bill is a great guy and a valuable resource to all of us. I will help any way I can and if I wasn't so far away I'd be over there every day if he wanted helping him get back on the road as I'm sure many of us would. I'm in for $25.00

Bill,

I understand that no donations or compensation are necessary but this is not about what you want or need. this is about Myself and others that you have helped giving back. you have done alot. and there are people that may not have realised the enjoyment and satisfaction of this hobby had it not been for your writeups showing them that it is possible for them to do these mods themselves.

I am sure I am not alone here when I say I want to express my appreciation. I want you to have something that you will use and think "what goes around comes around" even if it is just a nice set of wrenches, or a new lense for your camera or something.

sure you might think it isn't necessary, but we think it is.

c'mon guys.

Mod pictures

Taco bill has helped me in more ways then he knows. I have been modding the new stang since i started 3 years ago, but if you think i would cut my hood without the assisatnce of a pictured write up you go another thing coming. Drop springs in pictured format explained in detail made my descisions easier. Thanks to taco for all that he does!

I mooched a beer off of Bill last night does that count ??

But really, I would have NEVER performed the mods I've performed without TacoBill's write ups or advice. I could not or would not have the patience or forsight to do what he does. Best of all he's a good guy.

Thanks Bill

Somebody offer up a PayPal account... preferably Bill himself. I've used his write-ups a zillion times.

And the pics of his nieces. JUST KIDDING! :-)

P.S. This needs to go in the main S197 section, not just in the GT sub-forum.

Thank you guys.

I've been thinking what the right words to use so I don't come across the wrong way or sound ungracious. Only thing I can come up is to simply say, "Thank You!".

I can promise everyone this, whatever appreciation I receive, it will go directly towards my new engine build. That way you will know exactly where your gratitude goes.. into the Tacomobile.. right where it all started.

The way I see it, Bill owes US all some $$!! He made it so darn easy for us to do mods, we have all spent way more money on stuff we probably didn't need. Just joking, keep up the great work Bill!!

Jeeze... if you guys really knew him... Only kidding folks!
It's really cool to see all of you guys do this for him.

Bill - You have definitely helped out with mods. You've taught me how to do things I would have never thought about doing. It always feels great to know/tell someone that my mods have been done by me (and the socal crew ) not some shop. Hell, while we're at it... It's been awesome hanging out. Glad to have created a friendship with you and the rest of the crew. Always a fun weekend with many stories. Friendship goes way deeper then just mustangs. Lastly, thanks for the intro to beer

A great big THANK YOU Bill! Your write-ups make us all feel like we have a close friend helping each time we work on our cars. Good luck with the new engine.

I just seen this, and I agree about what he has brought to this board. I am dealing with insurance at this time due to the tornado I had in Kansas City but I will made a pledge later this week when I get paid. I have always given on other forums as well as this for for Nate. Thank you TacoBill and best of luck with the rebuild project.
