tach issue

Its been a while since i have been one here, but I need some help, driving home the other day my tach quit working, after a little while it started back again. it also seemed to hesitate when taking off from a start when the tach wasn't working. Any ideas

Could be a fuse going or bad wiring. Try checking the wiring to make sure all the connections are good.

I had this intermittent issue in my '06 as well. It is likely the stepping motor issue, and it's on the board for the dash. There are updated stepping motors for these instruments. I don't know if he's still out there, but once upon a time you could pull your dash cluster, send it to a fellow, and he'd send back a fixed one.
