I put one in the day after I bought mine in Dec 2005. I have a 2006 and it is the best add on I have. Would never give it up.

Can you post a pic of your sun roof?

You could get the switch from convertible and have it look very factory.

Here's the Inalfa sunroof. It's the EVO builtin style.

Lol. I wanted one at 1st because my last car of 10 years had one and I missed it. But it didnt take long for me to think that no way could I, or would I put one in the Mustang.

I've seen a couple of them in my area. I personally don't like it, because the sunroof is flat, but the roof is pretty curved, so it looks a little out of place and also disproportional.

But, I know some people that absolutely love it. So, it's all about personal preference. The one on the red car above actually looks pretty good, and looks more factory-like than the ones that I have seen

I came close to adding one, but concluded I didn't like the change in the curve of the roof, (the sun roof is fairly flat) plus such a small opening, especially the one that slid back into the roof. The other option was a flip up "spoiler" type...bigger opening but a weird look.

I've owned close to 30 cars, all but 4 have been convertibles or had sun roofs and I really missed not having "open air" on the 4 closed roof models, but strangely I don't really miss it on the Mustang...gotta be the fun factor!

Personally, in every other type of car that I own that aren't Mustangs, I get the moonroof for resale value, but never use them.

One word: leaks I havent seen an aged sunroof that doesnt leak, and who wants to pay a coupla hundred for new seals. But what I really want to see is some T-tops.

I know that there was a kit floating around on the internet for a removable hardtop on SN95's. But, I wouldn't recommend it. There was too much structural rigidity that was lost. The kit warned that subframe connectors were REQUIRED just to use the kit.

I believe they also made one for the S197. But, I haven't seen the ads in the magazines for the company anymore.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the company right now...I think it is erased out of my brain. At this point, I would probably only recognize it if I saw it.

I've seen two different S-197's with flush mount sunroofs. Both looked nice but the front corners had some crease issues. The roof was kinked and looked very distorted.I'm sure there are some top notch installers but check for references before you cut up a nice roof.

My last car had a sun roof, loved it. since I could not get one on the Mustang, I went with the vert. Problem with a vert is, it is either all up or all down. with the sun roof you could crack it a bit. Some how poping a vert top a few inches and doing 60 is not a good idea...LOL.
