no sunroof option, I don't see why you can't have it installed in the aftermarket, may have to wait for the aftermarket to make one that will fit the curve of the mustang's roof.

I don't know if putting a sunroof would be a great idea on the 05. I've seen plenty of current gen stangs with em and they don't really look that great. It doesn't seem to fit the curvature of the roof. I expect the same with the 05 since they use practically almost the same roof lines as the current stangs.
IMO the best stangs to put a sunroof/t-tops are and always will be fox-body stangs. They look rght at home.

Installers in my area have told me that the curve of the roof will not allow the type of sunroof that retracts into the headliner. The only option, they say, is the type of sunroof that retracts above the roofline. To me, this style looks cheap and takes away from the sleekness of a car. :notnice: So I won't be getting one....

On your pontiac or stang?
To me, sunroofs on current stangs look like crap cuz it breaks the lines and makes it cheap looking

Wolfie351, I totally agree with you. Sunroofs give you the best of both worlds, not increasing weight much while maintaining the structural integrity of a coupe. Unfortunately, it has to be a cost cutting measure that the 05 does not include it. However, I would expect a 27000 car to come with it, and it stinks that there isn't even an option.

I'll probably put the sunroof on aftermarket. sure, it looks like crap for the most part, but who cares, I'm in it and I'm buying the car for me, not the people looking. Get what makes YOU happy. As for the vert, <1k for the sunroof, 3-5k extra for the vert plus tons of wind noise etc... That's great if that's what you want, and I wouldn't mind having one, but for now I like the coupe with the sunroof. It's what fits best for me. To each his, or her, own.

I'd love to have a sunroof -- I really enjoyed the one on my 1990 GT. I am sure the factory could do a better job than the aftermarket, since they have the benefit of being able to adjust the sheetmetal to make for a perfect fit. And so what if the roof curves a little, make the glass and the tracks have a curve to match. Duh.
