The weather here was great today, so I took a ride up Page Mill Road to Skyline Blvd.

Beautiful pictures Dan! We took a trip up to Monterey and San Fran last fall, it was awesome. I've got some cool shots of my other car on the 17 mile Pebble Beach drive. Amazing weather it looks like you had!

Skyline's got to be one of the best drives around. Did you stop at Alice's Restaurant? Bet you saw a lot of bikes today as well.

No, I didn't stop at Alice's, and I DID see a lot of cyclists, both motorized and not. I was quite surprised that there wasn't very much traffic on Skyline, given the beautiful day. That suited my just fine. My GT was able to "flex" her muscles on those nice fast sweepers.

Nice shots of one of my favorite drives. I had too much to do yesterday, or I would have taken a run up there myself!

I like to take the Mustang out late at night on 280 north of Foothill and drive like a nut. Smooth road, curvy, but built for speed.

I can remember when 280 wasn't open yet and we used to go around the barriers late at night and fly from Cupertino up to Los Altos. Being young and stupid we used to do it on full moon nights with our lights off. :nono:

Allen,

Was that YOU? That does go back a ways. I may have you beat though. When I was in high school, Hwy. 17 ended at Lark Ave. in Los Gatos and didn't start again until you had past all of San Jose, just past where 101 and 880 intersect.

Nice pics.....brings back memories of when I lived in the Mountain View & Cupertino ares - right out of college. I used to ride my street bike all over those roads! Great area!

Where I live now in the 1000 Oaks area - we have a sportbike paradise....so many great canyon roads in the Santa Monica Mts. and over in the Green Valley/Lake Elizabeth and up in the Angeles National forrest areas.....only problem is deciding where to go on any given Sunday!

Funny though, being an avid sportbike rider - I've never felt the need to go "canyon carving" in any of my cars.....even though (after owning 5 Mustangs over the years) this '05 is the best handling one by far...
