That kid should lose his license, period. He's lucky he didn't kill someone.

And people wonder why mustang owners get a bad rep. my question is how a 17 yr old has a new mustang in the first place. He was going 80 mph in what looks like a v6. Thank god he wasn't in a GT. any kid who get's his license shouldn't have a car with more power then a lawn mower. It will be cheap to insure, use very little gas and will have so little power it WON'T BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF IT'S OWN WAY. I know people are goig to flame me for this but all I have to do is point to this video for an example. If he was my kid he would be so grounded that he thought he was shipped of to Gitmo. By the way, my first car was a hand-me-down 1988 pontiac grand am with 100,000 on the odo, cost me $300 a year to insure in New Jersey, only drove to school and work so I only had to fill it up twice a month!!! the only way it would ever get to 80mph was if i dropped it off a cliff!!

I'm sick of the "kid-bashing" on this board. The only reason this is a story at all is because the person driving was 17. If he was 30 no one would even notice.

the only reason this is a story is because he was driving a mustang. I see this type of crash several times a year but it means nothing unless it a mustang. If it was a 30 year old driving that car I think we would all still be calling his a dumbazz

Peter is obviously young. Sorry Peter, but statistics don't lie and young males are the drivers most likely to get into an accident. Its been proven time and time again. I love the new feature Ford has incorporated into the Taurus where you can limit top speed. I'd say that feature will be in more and more vehicles and this is a perfect example of where a governed top speed of maybe 50 would've helped this not be so bad.

It seems that this guy was an idiot that didn't know how to control his car a high speeds. Regardless of his age, he was a moron. In Michigan last year, two high powered cars were street racing down a side street and the Corvette hit an oncoming car at over 150 miles per hour killing everyone in the crash. People should be stupid on their own and smear themselves on the pavement alone rather than bringing someone else into their games.

His mommy and daddy probably regret buying him that mustang now. Stupid children.
There are however some kids that do well with cars. I had a GT when I was 19. Biggest difference? I paid for it my dam self. Sure as hell wouldnt be driving it like a retard.

Peter, i'll be the first to say not ALL 17 year olds are idiots, but you have to agree when I say the majority are. There's a reason why my insurance was ridiculous when I first got the Mustang(I was 20 then) and why insurance rates for a man don't drop until you're 25, while its 23 for women(woot, my insurance doesn't suck anymore!). The truth is there ARE some smart kids out there, but they're overshadowed by the idiots who drive 80mph and crash into homes.

that's pretty obvious..i will still never stop bashing spoiled kids with overpowered cars who **** near kill them selves. and why should i?

all the tow truck drivers I ve ever talked to have told me they tow 10 to 1 young female drivers. They told me those we dumber daddys girls who most were talking on a phone and t boned someone or some thing. Young males get a bad rap because when they do crash its a little more high profile.

At 17, we have this huge outcry against teens driving in general. There's always gonna be idiots, but guess what, they're in every age bracket. There's more major crashes that have nothing to do with teens, but as soon as we're in them, it becomes "oh, if they had more experience, or were older, this would have never happened."
The kid bashing is annoying as hell.
