strut tower brace

i was thinking about getting a Strut Tower Brace for my 06 gt. wondering if it really does improve handling before I go out and order it. its been a few months since my last mod so im itchin to start again. gotta keep it cheap before that good ol' tax refund gets here though.

It didn't improve my handling so much that I would notice... I consider my STB a "looks" mod only.

A strut tower brace basically adds the fourth link to a front box section. By adding the brace, you increase the rigidity of the engine bay and frontal structure of the vehicle. On new vehicles, the duty cycle of the machine is not sufficient to incur fatigue.

Don't buy a brace and you'll notice the difference in a couple years, especially if you ever track the car.

I bought one, and noticed a difference in handling, especially since it is a vert. But, like mrkabc stated, it was also a visual mod

I have the BMR's in stock for 189.99 free shipping. I have sold them like crazy, and they do make a nice difference. Plus the looks. The sway bars and things that have the most "anti-roll" always FEEL like they're doing more than top end chassis stiffening.

Will the BMR fit the '07 GT and clear the factory Plenum cover?

If any of you guys are interested I have a practically brand new FRPP strut tower brace in my trunk. I felt a big difference but that was with the whole kit. The brace looks great in the engine bay. About a month after adding the full kit I added the FRPP/Whipple supercharger and the brace doesn't clear.

It costs $195 new. Email me at ndhesq@comcast.net if you are interested.
