strut brace

I want to construct and built my own chromed "strut brace" for my
Mustang GT 2005.

For that I am looking for drawings with dimensions, distances....

Who can help me with informations about that or you have ideas how to get these?

I have been making my own strut tower brace. I have it all welded up and I am just waiting for a plate off our laser that I am going to weld in the center of the duel tube brace.
My layout is at work and if i remember them I can post some info on it tomorrow. The lower brace is 24 3/8 from center to center on mounting holes or darn close..... Take a look and measure for yourself to make sure. straight pipe/tube with some L brackets welded on the ends.

The duel tube upper brace I made two pads that go on top of the towers. The pipe/tube was 40 inches long with a 10 inch straight section in the middle about 10 inches long..... the bends are 10 to 12 degrees. I set them up on the car and tac welded them where I wanted them to be. I did disconnect the battery before I welded them.

I will post some pics as soon as its all done.
There can be a lot of varriation on where the tubes set so some trail and error fitting needs to be done on your part.

strut tower brace

Glenn,

thanks a lot for the informations!!!

Help´s me very much, by the way, you Stang looks GREAT!!!!

I am located here in Germany about 30 miles away from Heidelberg and Frankfurt. I am one of the about 500 Mustang GT 2005 owners in whole
Germany because Ford does not offers the Stang officially here in Germany.

Next couple of days I try to attache some pictures of my black 2005 GT Stang.

Is it possible that you send me some important dimensions of the strut tower brace you made !?!?!?!

E.g. hole pattern and hole diameter.

Thanks a lot in advance!!!!

Glenn,

thanks in advance!

For your information, I drive my Stang only from April to (including) October, for the wintertime I use my other car (6 1/2 years old).

So I will have enough time to design my personel strut tower brace during wintertime; produce parts by laser in the company I work, weld them and finally get them chromed (is that the real word???).

Hope you will understand my English.

Wolfgang
