I have found my GT on a lot here in Houston but the dealer says he won't come down more than a couple hundred off MSRP. Is that what others are finding in their areas? Has anyone tried using an X plan pin?

Thank you!

I'm in Oklahoma City and they are accepting X-Plan pricing here. (Ordered mine at X-Plan saved me almost $2K)
Look around and find a dealer that is willing to come off MSRP or even better accept X-Plan Pricing.

If they don't 2k is worth a trip up here

This topic has been discussed many times before. If you do a search using 'X-Plan' you'll find alot of information on the subject.
To answer your questions...
If you shop around you'll find dealers that are still charging over MSRP on Mustang GT's, and others that will only sell at MSRP or a little below...and some that will accept X-Plan.
I ordered my Mustang GT in October 04, and almost every dealer I talked to was asking $5000 over MSRP, and when the subject of X-Plan was brought up most dealers refused to accept it...even on orders.

I finally found a dealer that would accept the plan...but only if I ordered the car, which is what I did.
I had to wait almost 10 weeks to get the car but it was well worth it considering the deal I got on the car.

Ordered on X-Plan. Saved me over $2700 on a GT Vert Premium. Only hitch is dealer is 600 miles away LOL. It should be a nice drive home when I pick it up

I bought mine in the dead of winter in WI. The dealer had three Black/Black Premium GT's sittin on the lot. They said I could have anyone of the three on the lot at X-Plan, as they wanted to make room for SUV's/Trucks etc. It probably helped that this is the #1 Super Duty dealer in the state, and that a really good friend of mine was the salesman

Don't settle for anything less than under MSRP!
