Stolen Shifter Knob
Heard through the grapevine today that a new stang arrived at a Wisconsin dealership (not sure which one, but I think the New Berlin area) without the shifter **** intact. It was still driveable, and the part was ordered immediately, so no big shakes. They figured it happened in transit from the factory, and there were no signs of breaking and entering. Just be aware that the shifter **** and possibly other interior parts might be something to keep under lock and key at all times.

Someone was probably going to send it in a ransom note to it's new owner saying "we have your car, if you ever want to see it send $25,000 to...."

hahahahahahaha
When I picked mine up from the dealer mine had been stolen as well. It had the interior sport package but someone had replaced it with the standard ****. The dealer ordered the correct leather wrapped **** and replaced it in about a week.
 I can't believe that the 'grapevine' actually has people talking about shift *****?? Jeeze
People prowl dealerships at night and take all kinds of things, inspection stickers, plates, wheels, interior parts, antennas, you name it.
