Stillen Hood Struts

Stillen Hood Struts – ’05 and up Mustang

After many requests, Stillen has just released the hood strut setup that we have on our exhibition car. Currently available for ’05 and up Mustangs only (hopefully for the SN95’s soon).

These are in stock and ready to ship. Don’t have them on the web site yet – hopefully in the next couple of days (would prefer you order directly from me anyway ).

Price is $74.95 + $9.95 Insurance and Handling (Free UPS Ground Shipping to the continental 48 states, excluding APO or other international addresses).

If interested in a set, shoot me a PM, or an e-mail at PNicholson@Stillen.com

Any pictures of them on the car? They look pretty simple, in a good way, is there any drilling or other work required or is it a "bolt on and go" kit?

Same here, if it's a "bolt" on I'm in, but outside of seeing an install, I'm on the fence.

Thanks,

Shaun

I'm sorry, but these appear to be a bit on the flimsy side. I do not like the design of the plates and the strut seems to be undersized.

I like the struts to be at a greater angle, as in the end on the fender to be closer to the firewall. Other than that, those look petty good.

Hey there,

Wanted to be able to use factory mounting locations so that our customers didnt have to drill holes. Mounting any closer to the fire wall would have meant using a smaller cartdridge. They do a good job - have been on the car in the picture for years (its an '05).

Since they're still on the car, can you take some pictures from further back to see the angle of the hood and a better angle of the brack on the firewall? Seems like that bracket sticks out towards the strut tower. The bracket seems thick, but I'd be worried about bending it.

Hey there,

I kinda doubt it. These have been working very well since they day they were installed on the car. They arent going to want to come out with a different design when this one works well.
