Anyone ever put some though to the idea that if they deliver dealer stock first, that the dealership will sell at, or above MSRP for a while, knowing the hype over the 05', then ship the pre-orders first???

Ordered on 6/24. Built 9/20. VIN 103768. Told it would be delivered week of 10/11. Still waiting!
mine is 103766. DORA went through on june 9th. i haven't heard about an exhaust problem from my dealer, they're not very forthright with that kind of info if they have it.

all i've been able to discover about my car is that it was producted on 9/13, and as of 9/22 all that is know is it has been built. there hasn't been an update since then. i was really hoping since it's been a month since their last update that things would have changed by now...but no luck.

i feel the same though, like i'm being punished for ordering early. i don't know what "exhaust" problem they could possibly be facing that couldn't be fixed quickly enough to get the peoples cars out who ordered them months in advance. they could have built all new cars to replace those in question by this point.

dont worry guys ive talked to a few people and shipping WILL be ramped up by the end of THIS week....expect to start seeing them next week. This is all for a good reason!

What is the good reason?

There are posts about problems, but how accurate are they? Everyone flamed the BON rumours; but were they true, and is that the reason for the delay?

I would sure want to know what problems there are with the original production.

Certainly, a good reason is a hold for quality. But, that would mean zilch, without providing information about the problem, what was done to fix it. Nevertheless, there cannot be a good reason for the lack of information, or providing the reason to the purchaser.

I, personally am convinced that the hold is to install the glove box trunk release button and fabricating the upgraded key. I'm a gas tank is half full kind of guy.

My '05 GT was ordered on 5/19, and built on 9/20. I like many of you am playing the waiting game. Last I spoke with my dealer, the car was on a train expected to arrive in So. Cal on 10/26. Then it has to be hualed to the dealer. We'll see.

I'm dissapointed it hasn't yet arrived, but I know it will get here soon, as will everyone else's. We just have to be patient, although it does sound like Ford is implementing a LIFO inventory system on the '05s to this point, which is frustrating.

What I need, is for my dealer to call me and say "your car is here" and then it will all be okay.

I realized that the next time I'll be updated on my car, i'll be sitting in it, I guess.

Mine was ordered on 5-19 built on 9-28 vin # 103711 the car was supposed to be shipped on the 12th then it was held it shipped on the 19th. Now when I call they have no ship date or anything all they can say is that its on its way to jersey. I went to a different dealer yesterday and they had 2 there a black GT vin in the 5000's and a silver 6cyl they got there a half hour b-4 I did. The GT was sold

How come they got their cars and mine isn't here yet
and they have no info at all of when its coming in. But when you call Ford direct they tell my its on its way???????

My father said maybe because the dealer I ordered from is not just a Ford dealer they also sell Nissan. And thats the reason they haven't gotten any of the first shipped. But I don't think so.

No, makes no sense. Nissan is affiliated to Ford too.

I ordered a GT in late May, I don't remember the exact date. It was built on 9/27. I was told last week that it was in transit on a train. I called today and was told that all GTs that had not yet made it to their dealerships had been recalled to Flatrock for "quality inspections". Of course they couldn't tell me what exactly the "quality inspections" were for. They could tell me that my GT was getting transferred between rail cars when the recall took place. Funny that they could give me exact info on when it was recalled, but could barely give me it's location last week.
