Never thought about it when I ordered it other than I knew I wanted the manual. She did ask "what if I need to drive it?" I replied with. "You'll have to learn how". It is rather nice. I'll deny I ever said that though.

That is the exact reason I got a manual - I love my my g/f, but she is a terrible driver. She can barely handle her auto Ford Focus.

I am REALLY excited about my Mustang,it is the car I have always wanted. Therefore ,I am happy to share the joy with others who want to take it for a spin! It will be manual and I will drive it MOST of the time, however! HEHE

I got a stick because I like to drive a stick. My wife doesn't know how to drive a stick, but I told her I want to teach her how to drive a stick incase something happens and she needs to drive a stick.

Ya, I ordered stick for 3 reasons.

1. the wife can't drive stick.
2. she doesn't want to learn how.
3. She keeps hitting things with her own car.

I love manuals cause my mom and girlfriend don't know how to drive them. Most of the girls that I know do not know how to drive manual. I will let people drive my Stang when I get it, but only a select few.

I recently bought an 04 manual. The sales guy taught me to drive in like 30 minutes. As long as you're smooth, easy going, and coordinated it's fine. But never under estimate the power of a Cobra. Scared me at first.

I am with Nicole... It'll be our own little club.. Chicks with Manual GTs.

Its funny watching guys with sports cars... when they buy it for themselves, no one touches it... when thier wife-g/f/-s/o/-sister-mother buys one, the guys feel its thier right to drive it. I dont get it.

Dont most of you guys love seeing a chick driving a sweet ride? Let us have our cars darnitt!!

/rant off

I am now going to select my exact shade of purple for my 05... ::evil laugh::

I got a 5-speed, which while it does indeed guarantee my wife won't drive it, probably wouldn't be an issue anyway. She really doesn't like to drive my vehicles. She drove my Lightning ONCE in four years, and that was only because she wanted to go get us lunch and I was right in the middle of detailing her GTP.

I actually wish she would like my rides more, and maybe want to drive them now and again.

I am glad that my mom will never touch my car. She had a E320 a few years back that had 4 curb rashed rims and regularly had yellow side walls on her tires(i wonder how she did that?). My moms 330i had 3 curb rashed rims, 2 of which were bent. It made me cringe when I looked at the car because the "sport" rims on the car looked so great when new.

I know this might come across as sexist, but women cannot drive. This is based off of my personal experience

OMG... I am laughing on one hand, but on the other, I am thinking what a crummy thing to do!!!

C'Mon Rick, you outta know better than to think just because its a stick she wont drive it. Please tell me this was a joke...

I dont know a girl who cant drive a stick. Like Mark's wife, I cant stand autos. heck, when I got my 99, I had to wrestle the keys from hubby! I am going to have to paint this thing purple, just to keep it from hubby. I tried putting girlie things on it, like a fairy sticker in the window, a sticker about being a lesbian in the window... and he STILL drives the thing. He swears if I paint it purple, he wont touch it... and now that he has his big ole truck, I am pretty sure he will leave my 05 alone... I hope!
Hi. My name is Kera & I can't drive a stick. Although lately I have been flirting with learning on my Uncle's 89 or 94 Convertible(probably the 89 is my best bet).
