I was putting my PIE adapter in and after taking the center console (the cupholder piece) I noticed a stand alone plug not going to anything. It's not for the 2nd aux plug in the compartment as this already works.

Anybody have an idea what this is supposed to be used for?? :scratch:

Are you talking about the trap door that opens up to the emaergency brake handle area?

 

Assuming you mean the wiring plug, and assuming you have a manual tranny, I think it's for the gear position lights in automatic car's center console.

 

Yep, that's what I am referring to.. I havent' messed with it yet, but that sounds about right. I didn't think about the lights for the auto trannies.. Thanks 05GT..
