Squeeking

Driving along a few days ago I had the windows down and no music on for the first time in forever. I noticed a squeeking noise, which at first I thought was someone else but then to my horror it was me! It happens whenever I go over a bump or accelerate. It isn't the exhaust because my Flowmasters were put on after the discovery of the noise and everything was tight. Could it be motor mounts or maybe a suspension piece?

Does braking, especially light braking, change the sound (increase or muffle)? If so, then you probably bent a rotor. Have you hit a sidewalk or a deep pothole? I had the same sound, and it progressivley got worse. Not only did I warp the rotor, I also buckled the phalanges which the rotor attaches too. Make sure you look into that option first before just replacing the rotor only to have the new rotor warp within two days I learned that the hard way.

I haven't hit any potholes or curbs. The squeek only happens during acceleration and going over bumps I don't go over extremely slow. Braking isn't an issue.

My 2008 also squeaked from the rear passenger side. It stopped when I applied the breaks. I brought it back to the dealer and they fixed it. Something to do with the breaking system. It started again after I had my tires rotated, I brought it back to the dealer again and they did their thing, stopped again. If it comes back I will head back to the dealer again.

If your car is still under warrantee...bring it back to them to check it out.
