Squeak arrived in front suspension after Headers

Well, I've had this squeak for a long time and it's progressively gotten worse. I've had other rattles I've fixed: dash, cat-conv. rubbing body, and intake rubbing fender. This one is different. I've tightened every clamp (replaced one), and had the car up on lifts on several (6-7) occasions. I've also tightened everything that was loosened when installing the headers and H-pipe.

The squeak is coming from the front suspension because I've gotten out of the car and listened to it while someone pumped the brakes down a hill. Here's the funny part. It only squeaks when at normal operating temperature. SO, I figured, the headers are definitely putting out more heat than the stock manifolds so anything around them may be involved... I was thinking maybe A-arm brackets/bearing? I don't think it's the lowering springs, because I would think they'd do it all the time.

I took it to a shop today and had them look at it (after driving around to see what I was talking about). They threw some lithium grease around the front a-arms to try to remedy the problem, but still no fix.

Anyone else have this problem after installing long-tubes or have a similar experience with a squeak that only arrived when the engine was warmed-up/hot? Btw, the hotter it is the more it squeaks (after a pass down the drag strip it sounds like it's falling apart).

I have the squeak on my front left suspension on my stock GT. It sounds like a bird chirp when going over a bump sometimes. Not only when it's hot and not all the time.

Any chance the headers are rubbing on the steering linkage? Ive heard of others with some rubbing issues.

I don't know if it's the steering linkage or not... I don't believe there's any rubbing issues with the headers, but maybe when it's hot it the linkage moves around a bit. I'll check that out.

TTT!

Strange enought, a kind of metalic squeak has just started on my left front suspension it seems.

I have got Tockico D-Specs with Eiback pro kit.

I have to replace my right front sway bar link as top bushing is gone after a track day but can't put a finger on that funny kind of leaking air noise ( Squeak) coming from front on bumps.

Will post i find an answer.

Thanks

Eduardo.
