Because Ford went through such lengths to clean up this car and remove unnecessary lines and scoops, only to screw it up with a tack-on spoiler. I'll take mine clean.

I think it looks cleaner without the spoiler. But, I also think the spoiler on the current car covers up one of the more interesting aspect of the car's design, which likely puts me in the minority.

I also think that spoilers that don't do anything pointless. Why add something to the car that is only cool for what it does if it doesn't perform that function?

This is a lot like the hood scoop debate -- and I will acknowledge that they have managed to integrate a nice looking spoiler with the '05 that keeps with the design of the car. But, if I was buying (and I wish I was!) I'd like mine without.

I'll admit it, a tasteful spoiler is one of my automotive guilty pleasures. (I don't want any of those basket-handles or mile-high jobs, though.) I'll take my Stang with a spoiler. I'll also take it with a shaker scoop assuming that ever becomes a possibility. Must be all the time I spent sitting behind a shaker in the '79 Trans Am. (And that one didn't even do anything!)

J Mays wouldn't approve :stubborn:

Haha...j/k. Its all a matter of taste, my taste is more towards sleeper(yeah, like the dual exhaust and fogs don't give away the fact that its a GT), but, eh, you take what ya can get...

It's a tough call, but I'll probably go without. It just seems sneakier to me somehow. Like I'm almost hiding how fast the car is. I also think it does deter a bit from the classic rear end.

Hehehehe I know...of course I also love the old disco-tape gold dashboards and huge screaming chickens on hoods, so that should give you all a sampling of my taste.

I like it without a spoiler...looks cleaner. Specially once it has 18's and is lowered a bit it will look meaner IMO.

That's what i'm talking about.

Black GT, Tinted windows, No spoiler, Chrome 18" Bullitt style wheels, and lowered. I can't wait.
