Hey Everyone, I just joined this forum, after months and months of reading all of the posts. I've been looking for a new car for over a year now. I'm 20 and I was given a 1989 Ford F-150 by my dad when I first got my license and that truck has held up through my abuse during my teen years. I finally decided I needed a new car. So I looked at a bunch of different cars. I was very close to buying a Cobalt SS but then my dad told me to check out the Mustang. So I went to the dealer and test drove it and loved it. So that day 7/15/05 I ordered a 2006 V6 Mustang Convertible with a Pony Package. Now all I do is lookup pictures and updates online for the 2006 models. Now I can't wait for it to come. I luckily qualified for a loan or else I wouldn't have been able to get it.
I have a question though, I received my Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC) but when can I expect to get the Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA)? I also would like to know when I will receive my VIN#. Thanks.
Can't wait to be driving this beauty on my college campus. I can't wait for the head turning.
I can now say that the first car I ever purchased was a Mustang.

Your DORA is available within 2 days of placing your order. Do you know what your priority number is? (10 being the best)

 

My Priority number is 11. Thanks for the information, my salesperson went on vacation for two weeks the day after I ordered it. He won't be back until August 1st, so I'll ask him for the DORA then.

No, my Dad is friends with my salesman and has bought 3 cars within the past year from him (Five Hundred, F-250 SuperDuty, Escape). So he knows me well and gave me that priority, I didn't even realize my priority number until I read a post this morning about priority numbers. Also I am getting X Plan pricing.

 

Last year I ordered in June, and got my VIN# in October, and picked up the car in the second week of November.

 

Congrats on placing your order...now the"FUN" of waiting (and waiting and waiting) begins! Just remember that no matter how long the wait seems, it is worth the wait. Keep us posted on the status of your order and when you get your pony you had better post some pics!!!
