Incase you don't regularly look at the Mustang Chat board, Rob (Mr. Mstng) posted this after going to Carlisle:

So, who saw Chris Theodore ? I was 2nd in line to get a poster. (I wanted info).

So I asked about SEs. He said he couldn't say, but asked me "What would you like?" and smiled. Then said, "Wait until SEMA" You'll be pleasantly surprised". "

Can't wait.

Dano,

your dreams are coming true.. you'll know about a S/E before you order your '05.

I might be tempted to get me one too

I hope so Steve. I am completely content with the GT. But the thought of an SE would be beyond comprehension for me. I can't even think about it without getting excited.

Still a lot of hurdles to go though.........my main concern (assuming we are going to see a Boss/Mach/Shelby) is cost.

However, this sounds more than just an appearance upgrade

Sorry - I'm dumb. When is SEMA?

I'd love to see a Mach or a Boss in the 350-400 hp range, but don't know if I could afford it regardless.

SEMA - Specialty Equipment Manufacterer's Association

They have an annual show in vegas showcasing all the latest performance/appearance goodies.
The carmakers use this show as a springboard for high-performance models at times... They could use this to showcase 2005 Mustang parts available through FRPP catalog, or a new S/E

SEMA's website is...http://www.sema.org

Next show looks like November 2-5 in Las Vegas. I was looking at the site for the next show (http://www.semashow.com) and in the top right corner Ford is showing as "2004 Vehicle Manufacturer of the Show" and "Vehicle of the Show-2005 Ford Mustang"...that looks like some top billing for our favorite ride!!!

Always tons of hot machines there many 1 off customs to attract people into booths. Not just cars but also 4x4s, etc. anything automotive. If you saw the Rides show where Troy Trepanier built the "Fast Forward Fastback" for EBAY this was the show they were building for.

If you're referring to the father/son team that restored that old wreak into the awesome beauty it became...I hope to see this show! It'll be amazing!

Where do these so called "RUMORS" start? We have no idea what "it" might be at this point. All we can do is wait for SEMA in early Nov and then we will know more at that point. I would love for it to be some type of Shelby or Boss. We have already done the Mach 1.

What engine would they use in a Mach or Cobra? They don't have one that would work I don't think. It will probably be purely appearance.
