Hang in there because the radio has RDS !! Early on I had been wondering if Ford would build this into their radios, and the early responses were no. But, I just stumbled across the feature in the owners manual. Hooray 
This, added with all the other reasons will make it worth your wait. It is really cool to see the artist and song scoll bye on the display. I had it in my last car, and although I am not a fan of such gizmos I did become attached to this. Here is an excerpt from the manual:

Cripes- I don't do radio! Well in Alabama, NY is fair game.
All Alabama has is CC radio(For what I listen to anyhow), and its quite boring.
I gotta go with the XM and CD in it.
